The christening and commissioning of the Oklahoma (SSN 802) is a major milestone for Oklahomans. Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, the new naval vessel carries a proud legacy of sacrifice and service. Oklahomans at home and abroad are joining efforts to fund the ceremonies and support the crew—letting them know their ship’s state is behind them 100 percent.

The ship’s commissioning ceremony. The ship joins the Naval fleet and goes into service. As the crew formally boards the vessel and brings the systems online, the ship comes to life.

The Morale, Welfare and Recreation Fund. Managed by the U.S. Navy and the Department of Defense, this fund empowers crew members and their families through education, financial assistance, and recreation opportunities.
